About rightleft studio
we’re a small design studio. and we like it that way.
Sometimes small is good.
What “small” means for us is that not only do we get to spend each and every day doing what we love (fonts! paper! patterns! design!), but we get to actually know and love all the awesome clients that we work with (and trust me, you guys are a pretty great bunch).
What “small” means for you is that you’ll be working with people who actually want to learn about your business, find out what makes it tick, and get down to work designing the best possible solutions for YOU. Whether it’s a logo and brand identity, website, packaging, book cover, brochure or billboard, we are as excited about your project as you are and we can’t wait to jump in with both feet.
We’re always up for a new project, so if you’d like to discuss your ideas with us don’t hesitate to drop us a line!
Brooke F. Scarborough
Founder + Creative Director
Brooke is a self-proclaimed fish taco enthusiast with a BFA in Graphic Design. In 2009, she decided that she’d spent enough time designing real estate flyers in a corporate office and took a leap to self-employment. She started rightleft studio, taught herself to code, and was lucky enough to find a bunch of awesome clients that she loves designing things for. Over five years later, she sometimes still designs real estate flyers, but fortunately gets to design a lot of other things too.
After growing up on the tiny strip of land known as the Outer Banks of North Carolina, she spent time in Boone, NC (art classes + snowboarding); Portland, OR (working on Mt. Hood + drinking lattes); and Wilmington, NC (trying out a “real job” + doing home improvement projects) before moving back home to Nags Head in 2011. These days (when she’s not designing logos or building websites) Brooke can usually be found riding her bike to the beach, drinking coffee, doing diy projects, walking her two crazy dogs, reading interior design magazines, offshore fishing with her husband, or trying new craft beers.
Courtney D. Smith
Since the age of eight, Courtney knew that she had a passion for designing. Each page of her notebook was decorated with elaborate lettering and doodles. Now that she has graduated from Appalachian State University with her BFA in Graphic Design, she gets to design professionally for the rest of her life. With a cup of coffee running through her veins, she takes on each day and new project with a smile!
